We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Consultant in Data Engineering to join our team at ValueDriven. The Senior Consultant will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions for our clients, ensuring that their data infrastructure meets their unique needs and requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data engineering best practices, technologies, and tools, as well as a passion for solving complex data challenges. Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to understand their data requirements, challenges, and objectives, and provide expert advice on the design and implementation of data engineering solutions. Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines, integrating data from various sources and ensuring data quality and consistency. Develop and implement data storage solutions, such as databases and data warehouses, that meet client requirements and industry best practices. Optimize data processing workflows and systems, utilizing tools and techniques such as data partitioning, indexing, and caching. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions with data analytics and AI platforms. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stay informed of the latest developments in data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices, and incorporate these into project work as appropriate. Assist with pre-sales activities, including scoping projects, developing proposals, and presenting technical solutions to potential clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. At least 7 years of proven experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions. Proficiency in database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and data warehousing solutions. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Familiarity with cloud-based data engineering technologies and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex data challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
