In this creative and varied writing and editing role, you'll work closely with the design team to create engaging content and creative solutions across Marie Curie's digital and print communications. Your experience could have been gained in the charitable, public or private sectors. What's important is that you know what makes for great content, whether it's an expertly crafted strapline, a thought-provoking video or a powerful story that inspires someone to take action. This is a fast-paced role working with a wide variety of internal teams on a broad range of projects across fundraising, brand and services.

You'll support the charity's strategic objectives through the writing, editing and project management of content across major brand and fundraising campaigns for Marie Curie channels, including web, email, paid digital marketing, print marketing, publications, video, pitches and more. You'll create compelling content that drives the conversation, sparks interest and fuels debate. What's important is that you know what makes for great content, whether it's an expertly crafted strapline, persuasive fundraising copy, a thought-provoking story or a powerful idea that inspires someone to act.


Your main tasks:
- Write, edit and proofread content for the charity, across digital and print communications. Ensure all copy is engaging, clear, concise, accurate and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver on briefs, working to understand their content needs, developing creative responses, working with them to develop solutions, building strong working relationships and managing content delivery in a timely fashion.
- Uphold the charity's brand through all our content, ensuring editorial quality, consistent style and tone of voice in keeping with the charity's branding and messaging guidelines.
- Build relationships with staff and volunteers across the charity - especially in our direct services - to support the creation of authentic Marie Curie content.
- Support the rest of the content team to develop their writing skills, proactively building their capabilities in creative ways.
- Work as part of broader project teams incorporating specialists in design, production, public relations marketing, fundraising and digital.

Key requirements:
- Proven experience as a writer/editor in an in-house communications or agency setting, producing content for multimedia campaigns across various channels.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt writing style and approach to suit a variety of topics and audiences. Understanding of the charity sector and sensitivities of end-of-life care.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, including influencing and advising stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in using online content management systems.

Salary: £34,500-£38,324.00 per annum plus London allowance if applicable
Hours/Contract: Permanent contract - 35 hours per week
Based: Hybrid-Home/Embassy Gardens(minimum 1 day a fortnight in the office)
