Away from the matchday, Clubs and Club Community Organisations interact seven days a week, 365 days a year, making a positive contribution to the communities in which they serve.JOB PURPOSEThe EFL’s Senior Content Manager will be responsible for commercial and community content output across the EFL’s numerous channels.The purpose of the role is to strategically manage idea creation, campaign planning and relationship management across both areas, with the aim of telling the EFL’s community story to a large audience and improving the success of commercial content activations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBe the first point of contact for all EFL commercial content activationsGenerate ideas and content delivery for commercial activations, adhering to a season-by-season calendarManage budgets related to content creationCompliance and sign-off of commercial partner content, working alongside the Commercial departmentWork alongside the Content team, PR team and wider Communications team to deliver the objectives set for the Communications departmentDevelop EFL’s community content strategyLead on community campaign planning for EFL content channelsCommission EFL community content editorial and act as liaison with EFL’s community armManage the resources of the Senior Broadcast Journalist, Social Media Officer, Social Media Manager and Journalist to action commercial and community content plansSupply analytics reports for commercial and community contentDeputise for the Head of Content where necessarySupporting the Head of Content in growing/improving the EFL’s content-based product offeringManaging projects from ideation to completion, including overseeing budget spendSupport, when required, day-to-day EFL content output across social media and websiteContribute to promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisationKEY REQUIREMENTSProven experience working in commercial content production, ideally within sportA thorough understanding of social media platforms and audiencesAn instinct for what makes brilliant commercial contentAn understanding of the football/sporting industry and, in particular, the EFL and its 72 member clubsThe ability to manage both projects and personnel to deliver content projectsThe propensity to regularly generate ideas and challenge the status quo whilst considering organisational limitations and objectivesAble to thrive under pressure, with the skill to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to strict deadlinesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including skills in audio/visual mediumsThe drive and knowledge to create, manage and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersAble to operate in a fast paced and reactive work environment whilst maintaining a proactive approach to day-to-day issuesFocused and driven Pro-active, entrepreneurial, strong interpersonal skillsIf you would like to apply for the role then please press the apply button and include a copy of your CV that highlights some of the content campaigns you have worked across.The Executives in Sport Group are retained on behalf of the EFL to appoint a Senior Content Manager.
