Our client are one of the worlds most recognisable names in control systems and has a huge footprint within infrastructure and power transmission and distribution. They are seeking a senior controls engineer to join their growing team in Newcastle. Someone with experience in delivering on projects within Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution would be well suited.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Controls Engineer
Technically lead industry control solutions and support development of new colleagues.
Production / checking of functional design specifications
Develop and design control systems solutions.
Responsible for overseeing customer factory and site testing activities.
Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on allocated projects.
Providing technical input for the pre-sale's activities.
Responsible for technical issues/support on allocated projects
Attend internal and external design reviews providing technical input.
Qualifications & Experience – Senior Controls Engineer
Experience within Control / Automation background.
A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry
Experience in a similar role involving developing medium to large scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems and communication infrastructure.
Good understanding of the Circuit Diagrams / Wiring Diagrams and General Arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.
Desire to technically lead on allocated projects and develop engineers for the expanding team
