JOB TITLE Senior Coordinator

DIVISION Marketing and Commercial

LOCATION Southampton

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Coordinator to join the Marketing and Commercial division, based in the Southampton Office reporting to the Marketing and Space Control Team Leader.

As Senior Coordinator, Marketing and Space Control you are responsible for achieving ships utilisation in line with ONE's performance targets and procedures, focused on net-contribution of the available business in connection with meeting utilisation targets and the highest possible yield. In this role and in cooperation with your Line Manager and supervision from Trade Management, you select the cargo to be loaded / not loaded in case a defined parameter / space protection / Net contribution is being exceeded. Furthermore, you take charge of controlling, monitoring, analysing and coordinating country allocation and reporting towards RHQ, potentially consolidated by your Line Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Day-to-day operations –

  • Coordinate the Space Control management of your country or region on a

vessel by vessel, customer by customer, booking by booking basis.

  • You keep a high level of awareness of cargo acceptance policy, DG code, as well as the IMO acceptance policy of ONE.
  • \n
  • Proactively keep abreast on sector and internal knowledge development.
  • \n
  • You constantly aim at high levels of performance and continuously identify areas for improvements.
  • \n
  • Check broken routes constantly and find suitable alternative solutions. In case no alternatives can be identified, you closely cooperate with trade to examine product capabilities and overall utilisation according to SP allotment to prevent those services from being over utilised.

Process and quality management –

  • Development, maintenance, execution and monitoring of the process and progress/results

achieved.

  • Continuously review best working practices to improve effectiveness and productivity.
  • \n
  • Ensure that all processes and transactions are fully compliant with Company rules and regulations.
  • \n

Marketing, Analysis and Forecasting –

  • Analysing, Monitoring and Coordinating performance based on Game/Sales Plans and ADPs. Following up on non-performance. Collate
  • \n
  • market feedback from Sales teams in response to requests for specific
  • \n
  • market information. Act as the focal point for sales team input to forecasting
  • \n
  • activities, aiming to improve accuracy of forecasting. Ensure that input
  • \n
  • requested from Sales teams is delivered in a timely manner.
  • \n

Communication –

  • Establish a strong relationship with Trade - Management Space Controllers

for Europe and keep in close contact, in order to optimise overall vessel utilisation and net-contribution.

  • Ensure good collaboration and cooperation within departments and other functional areas.
  • \n
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service and Sales by taking a proactive approach to jointly aim to avoid unused capacity/space.
  • \n
  • First point of escalation for customer queries and dispute resolutions within the scope of your role.
  • \n

  • Support ONE's digital transformation by utilising and promoting our e-commerce platform and our self-service tools as applicable.
