They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join their team in Huddersfield.As a Senior Cost Manger, you will be responsible for the following:Lead, manage and support the team to ensure all business deadlines and targets are met.Managing effective communication between employees, customers and suppliers to resolve issues and escalate as appropriate.Complete in-house systems and process training for new administrators.Supporting the project teams with required internal and external audit requirements.Coordinate the processing and checking of all supplier invoices.Reconcile monthly vendor accounts, resolving any issues and produce period cost reports to support business and project requirements.Proactively collaborating with projects and suppliers to ensure invoices are paid on time.Register and checking of subcontractor payment applications to comply with IR35.Support the invoice and payment process around VAT/DRC, and similar taxation relation issues. Supervise, support and mange staff timesheet process (MyTime)Carry out effective Performance and Development Reviews and setting SMART departmental objectives for the teamWho are we looking for:The following are necessary requirements:Understand basic financial concepts (revenue cost, capital cost, profit, cash flow & revenue)Knowledge and experience of using software solutions to support delivery, document control, reporting and dashboarding, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Willingness to develop these skills wider including Microsoft Power BIUse knowledge of financial systems & accounting processes to extract information from the most appropriate sources & collate into management reports for line & functional managers.Has a detailed understanding of key VAT / PAYE / CIS / CITB / Corp Tax relevant / IR35 within their role.Use knowledge & experience to analyse, interpret & challenge financial information in line with legislation & standards.Demonstrate using previous experience and examples how you have managed a team through effective, proactive and collaborative communication to ensure all tasks are delivered in accordance with business / project requirements.
