We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Data Engineer to design and implement new data pipelines, as well as modify and maintain our existing Enterprise Data Warehouse. This role is vital to the success of our data-centric transformation.You will work with Azure technology alongside existing ETL pipelines built with SAP Business Objects Data Services. Proven experience in ingesting and transforming data from various internal and external systems is essential. As part of a small and highly skilled team, you must be passionate about providing best-in-class solutions to our global user base.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement development activities to enhance the existing Data Warehouse using ETL pipelines and migrate to cloud-native Azure technology.Provide technical expertise in designing and implementing solutions, identifying root causes for complex data issues, and developing practical, efficient, and permanent solutions.Conduct design, code, and test peer reviews throughout projects, providing technical guidance and identifying issues.Advocate for efficient code, delivering robust working solutions.Implement agile and lean principles to ensure efficiency within the development process.Collaborate with Data QAs to implement appropriate testing, policies, and standards.Drive quality within the organization as a proactive and independent individual.Essential Technical Skills:Experience in designing and developing data warehouse solutions.Proficiency in building and configuring multistage Azure deployment pipelines.Advanced skills in SQL, Python, PySpark.Expertise with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, and Functions.Proficiency in SAP Business Objects Data Services.Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.Familiarity with traditional ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, etc.).Proficiency with Azure Powershell / CLI.Experience with Azure Key Vault.Ability to deploy infrastructure services using ARM / Terraform scripts.Essential Experience:Experience designing and building data ingestion and transformation pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Scrum.A natural problem-solving attitude.Familiarity with current industry and technology trends.Experience engaging directly with stakeholders and business users.Desired Experience:Experience with Business Objects Reporting.Experience with Power BI.This job description is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
