💰 £70,000-£80,000 + Bonus📍Manchester city centre location – flexible hybrid working options💻 Tech stack: Azure, Databricks, Python, Spark, Pyspark, SQL, Azure, FabricBurns Sheehan are currently partnered with a innovative Manchester-based SaaS business who are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team and get the chance to work on brand new projects using Microsoft Fabric. The company have recently received over £4 million in funding to support their continued upwards trajectory and have lots more interesting plans and projects in the pipeline.In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Development team, legacy Data Administrator and team of Support Engineers to enable the business to get the most out of their data.🚀 What will you be doing? Developing high quality code for the core data stack including the data integration hub, data warehouse and data pipelines.Building data flows for data acquisition, aggregation, and modelling.Supporting and optimising data tools and associated cloud environments for consumption by downstream systems, data analysts and data scientists.Empowering data scientists and data analysts to be as self-sufficient as possible by building core systems and developing reusable library code.⚡ What are they looking for? Excellent skills in Azure Data Stack, specifically within Databricks.Strong experience with Python, Spark and SQL.Experience with exposure to Microsoft Fabric.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills and ability to manage internal stakeholders.Benefits on offer include 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays, private medical, 5% pension and life assurance, plus the opportunity to work with some really exciting technologies within a growing business.The company is offering hybrid working with the expectation to come into the Manchester office once a week.
