Job Description
The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team are responsible for raising and maintaining capital in order to fund Together's mortgage loan book. As a non-bank lender, Together's loan book is not funded with bank deposits but by a wide range of financial instruments including High Yield Bonds, Revolving Credit Facilities and Securitisations. Funding is sourced from institutional investors and international Investment banks.

As a Senior Debt Capital Market Analyst you will be part of a team of 7 DCM professionals. You will sit within the broader Treasury team which is responsible for maintaining the liquidity and funding for the Together Group. Debt Capital Market is a dynamic, fast paced team where both creative and critical thinking are valued and a "can do attitude is essential".

As a Senior Debt Capital Market Analyst you will be: Supporting the DCM Directors in raising and refinancing both existing and new funding vehicles
Taking ownership of various data and analytics tasks critical to the delivery of funding transactions
Inputting into and assisting in the review of the suite of legal documentation that underpin funding vehicles, working closely with internal and external lawyers
Ensuring operational aspects of financing activities are understood by the relevant teams within Treasury and the wider business
Developing knowledge and expertise in complex areas of finance and capital markets
Preparing materials and agendas for meetings with internal stakeholders, external investors, rating agencies, investment banks etc.
Required occasionally to travel to attend conferences and external meetings

Qualifications
While no direct experience in a similar role is required, the ideal candidate should have
Up to 5 years experience in an analytical/financial setting with a relevant University Degree in a business, finance or STEM field. A University Degree is not essential with relevant experience
Qualified/Part Qualified in a professional qualification is preferred but not essential. A variety of professional qualifications can be considered and supported as the role progresses
Knowledge of finance, markets, mortgages and/or securitisation
The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The right attitude and mindset, alongside a strong desire to learn is essential
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing priorities, which can sometimes change at short notice. This is not a process driven 9-5 role!
A keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot and head off problems early
The ability to explain complex concepts simply and to non-subject matter experts
Enjoyment being in the detail, but can also step back to see the big picture and ask "so what?"
