Lincolnshire – Home working
Circa £85,000 + car/car allowance
Fourblue has teamed up with an accredited ICP (independent connection provider) who are experts in managing and delivering connections ranging from LV (low voltage) up to 132kV. Working to connect clients to the grid and covering all aspects of design, building maintenance, repair & replacement of networks.

With a healthy order book that is moving into 2026, they are now seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join this successful team and continue to deliver for major electrical works including 11/33/132kV projects spanning BESS, Solar Parks, Data Centres and I&C.
Responsibilities' of the Principal Electrical Design Engineer
:
Lead the design of projects and bids
Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the team and ensure the team and processes are developed continuously
Coordinate with DNO/IDNOs to obtain design approval
Guide the customer through the design process
Provide project cost estimates and reports
Obtain technical or major procurement item quotations
Assist and mentor junior team members in their development
Review the quality and technicalities of work produced by other team members
Approve electrical, protection, manufacturer, and consultant designs
Ensure that the design approval process is managed appropriately and clients are managed through the design process
Attend design reviews, design team meetings, and project meetings
Actively support Business Development by building close working relationships and identifying additional business development opportunities that may arise during project delivery
Criteria for the Principal Electrical Design Engineer:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electrical Distribution design up to and including 132kV
HNC or higher in an engineering field
CEng or working towards CEng (desirable)
Full clean UK driving licence
