What you’ll do as Senior Design Engineer:
As Senior Design Engineer you’ll work as part of the Engineering team to investigate new technologies and manufacturing methods, deliver innovative new products to the market and optimise costs in existing designs.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Design and develop our product portfolio using Solid Edge.
Provide innovative Engineering solutions to our customer's.
Ongoing contribution towards Research & Development (R&D).
Be part of the project team for New Product Development. (NPD).
Collaborate with our Centre of Excellence, Global, Engineering team.
Work towards deadlines and customer specifications.
What you'll need as Senior Design Engineer:
Essential:
Higher National Certificates/Diplomas or equivalent from college; with at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills in 3D Design / 2D Drafting (Solid Edge) & Microsoft Suite.
Good communication skills to enable cross functional working both internally and externally.
Experience of new product introduction ideally within a controlled environment.
Desirable:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organisation.
Experience of design for manufacture and production techniques.
Experience of managing projects.
Experience of working with a remote team both in the UK and overseas.
