Senior Designer

CALLING SENIOR DESIGNERS , STRUCTURAL & MECHANICAL!

We are hiring for one of the world's leading Defence companies in Barrow.

They have a requirement for 10 Senior Designers with a focus on a Structural Engineering OR Mechanical Design Engineering to work on the SSN AUKUS Nuclear submarine collaboration project amongst the AU, UK AND US.
Due to the high workload the contract will be a rolling 12 months.
Rate: £39.74 PH UMBRELLA INSIDE IR35
Hybrid: 2 days a fortnight on site, the rest will be worked remotely.

Applies understanding of a range of design processes, tools, systems and techniques, and applies these to design or detail for assemblies, components or systems. Designs and develops solutions to common or well-articulated design situations, problems and issues.

Works under limited technical supervision.
Incorporated Engineers are able to demonstrate:
• The theoretical knowledge to solve problems in developed technologies using well proven analytical techniques
• Successful application of their knowledge to deliver engineering projects or services using established technologies and methods
• Responsibility for project and financial planning and management together with some responsibility for leading and developing other professional staff
• Effective interpersonal skills in communicating technical matters
