Senior Designer

Job Description About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer role to join our Innovation and Design Team. Within this role, you will provide expert design service to customers and our in-house collections. As a designer the continuing development of new and innovative qualities is also key in the role and growth of the company, meanwhile maintaining a strong link to our archive from the past.

The role will be a mixture of day and night shift, although other shifts may be required, particularly during training. Allowances will be paid to reflect certain shift patterns.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
Create designs for customers and in house collections – CADs
Enter designs onto ERP system for costing and production purpose
Design new cloth qualities
Develop understanding of our yarn ranges and suppliers
Develop working knowledge of production weaving and finishing parameters
Guide and support Account Managers towards appropriate technical and price conscious product choices for our customers
Lead designer for 1 or more key customer accounts, working in partnership with account manager and communicating directly with customer when appropriate
Development of market knowledge – customers, stores and trends.
