Senior Desktop Support Engineer - Energy Trader - LondonOur client is a major energy trader based in London, this role is office based.Responsibilities:• Provide 1st, 2nd & 3rd level support for both hardware and software / EUC operations• Install, configure and maintain workstations, hardware and software; OS• Install applications (MS Office 2021/365,MS Office, Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, MarketView)• Application deployment and troubleshooting via SCC• Set up / management of corporate mobile phones • Troubleshoot and maintain; Canon printers, scanners and other peripheral hardware• Moves + changes / new joiners (Active Directory, desk set-up, PC/Laptop builds, applications, telephony, network connectivity• Contribute to IT documentation creation, changes, how to guides and procedures• Analyse incidents/request and contribute to our continuous improvement’s ethosExperience: • At least 3-5 years’ experience as a Senior IT Support/Desktop Engineer (in an energy trader or top-tier hedge fund)• Expert in supporting a Microsoft environment; Windows OS, MS Office products• Expert working with EUC networks; PC NIC, Patching, Wi-Fi • Expert with Active Directory, GPO’s, Exchange 2019, SCCM • Experience with telephony systems; MS Teams Voice, Cloud9 turret, Airwatch, Intune• Experience supporting and working with AV (audio visual) technologies• Strong knowledge of experience and knowledge virtual environments; Citrix, VMWare• Good grasp of trading applications; Reuters, Bloomberg, ICE• Good understanding of cloud technologies; Azure, AWS • Very good communication skills, collaborative, inclusive (a background in VIP support)Technologies:• Microsoft OS; Win10/11• Microsoft Office 2019 Suite, advanced Excel beneficial• SCCM• Active Directory• MS Exchange administration• PowerShell• VMWare• Citrix• Cloud; M365 / Azure / AWS• Market Data; Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, ICE• Hardware; Dell Workstation / Laptop
