IBM iSeries RPG Developer 6 months initiallySheffield based, twice a weekThe ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform using RPG (Report Program Generator) language. The developer will work closely with various stakeholders to support and enhance banking operations through efficient and effective software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Application DevelopmentSystem Maintenance and SupportRequirements Gathering and AnalysisDatabase ManagementDocumentation and ReportingRequired Skills: Certifications in IBM iSeries or RPG programming.Proven experience as an IBM iSeries RPG Developer, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.Proven hands-on experience on RPG, RPGLE, SQL, CLLE CL OS/400, DB2/400Knowledge of API & Microservices, designing & developing responsive UI componentsKnowledge of SQL and database management on the iSeries platform.
