Major Recruitment is currently seeking Senior EC&I Engineers to join our prestigious nuclear client on numerous long-term projects, expected to last over 14 years. Our client, a leading well-known supplier to the UK's nuclear industry and a global presence, is offering exceptional opportunities across the entire nuclear life cycle.
As a contract Senior EC&I Engineer, you'll be taking on a unique and impactful position. This hybrid role is based within our client's office, where they handle everything from decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities and supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent to aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our client's work is centred around cleaning up the nuclear legacy and creating a future where nuclear energy contributes significantly to national security, energy supply, and meeting net-zero goals.
Hybrid: Maximum of 3 days working in the office and 2 days working from home. (flexible dependent on the project)
Location: Warrington, Preston or Cumbria based office. (dependent on your preference)

Duties of Senior EC&I Engineer:
Day to day, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience across our projects.
- Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with customers, supply chain, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Translate technical details for non-technical teams and vice versa, facilitating smooth information flow.
- Identify and implement procedures, codes, and standards across Engineering and related teams.
- Participate in product safety assessments, ensuring a focus on safety throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate on process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and resource utilisation.
- Provide technical solutions, documentation, and project support with a focus on meeting deadlines, quality, and budgets.
- Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority and act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised to do so.
Essential Experience of The Senior Electrical Engineer
- Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks
- Communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
