Our client is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the conceptual design and engineering of low voltage power systems, specifically for industrial drive systems, power conversion, and power generation applications. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering & Innovation, this role is crucial for driving innovative solutions and ensuring project success.

Responsibilities:
Capture and understand client requirements for projects.
Develop and define electrical concepts and designs.
Conduct detailed design studies and calculations.
Prepare specifications for systems and components such as motors, drives, switchboards, transformers, energy storage, and cabling.
Collaborate with the Hardware Design team and review detailed designs.
Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing and Commissioning & Site Acceptance Testing.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards.
Achieve project milestones and contribute to continuous improvement.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification (BEng/BSE/Level 6 Apprenticeship).
Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, low voltage power supply and distribution, power conversion, and power generation.
Excellent team player with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proactive, organised, and confident with a problem-solving mindset.
Hands-on and enthusiastic, with a reliable approach to work.
