Joining Waterman Aspen as an Electrical Engineer will see you as a key member of the defence team and you can expect:A varied client base where you can apply and develop your skillsBuy-in from clients to assist in your technical progressionFurther exposure to your chosen industry - increasing your awareness, knowledge and sharpening your skillsThe flexibility to broaden your horizons with each new secondment, without changing your employerCareer development and training to reach your professional or academic qualification goals supported by our own network of mentors and managersPaid subscription to a professional body of your choiceRegular social events and volunteering opportunitiesExperience required…Essential:Proven experience in the design of electrical building services, specifically in fire detection and alarm systems, industrial lighting and emergency lighting, site broadcast (PA) and HVAC.Experience in the design of low voltage electrical distribution systems, control & instrumentation systems and communications and data systems.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage electrical design packages, ensuring all requirements are met throughout the design process.Strong understanding and application of design processes, including requirements substantiation.Experience in managing deliverables through design processes and technical governance procedures to ensure quality and consistency.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Adaptability and flexibility to undertake ad hoc site visits when operationally required.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks throughout the design and implementation process.Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.Chartered Membership of an appropriate engineering institution.Desirable:Prior experience working within a nuclear or highly regulated industry, understanding site licence and authorisation conditions.Familiarity with the specific infrastructure and operational requirements of naval or military facilities.Experience with project management methodologies and tools, particularly in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects.You’ll get this and so much more…As a salaried colleague, you’ll get a salary in line with your experience, skills and location along with an industry-leading benefits package:Company car or car allowanceContribution to commuting mileagePermanent health insurance25 days annual leave (option to buy up to 5 more), in addition to the normal public holidays (based on a 40 hour week, pro rata for part-time colleagues)Company pension contributionSalary sacrifice to buy additional benefits1 paid Waterman Aspen in the Community Day to volunteer in your local community
