Job Description Role: Senior Electronics Engineer - Hardware
Location: Peterlee, UK
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

At Alexander Battery Technologies (ABT), we design and manufacture custom battery packs for some of the world’s most demanding applications — from drones and robotics to off-road vehicles, safety equipment, and power tools. We’re expanding fast across the UK, Europe, and North America, and we’re investing in the next generation of high-voltage systems, functional safety design, and end-to-end battery innovation.
We’re looking for someone to take the lead on new product development and help drive our hardware team into the future.
Job Summary
This isn’t a back-office design role. It’s a hands-on, lead-from-the-front position where you’ll:
Define customer requirements (sometimes from scratch)
Own the full design flow in Altium 365
Build, test, iterate and validate with safety and quality in mind
Research and advise on regulatory compliance across global markets
Deliver new hardware products into production
