Position: Senior Embedded Engineer

Salary: up to �70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location of Office: Coventry

The Role: A new and exciting role has just been created for an experienced embedded engineer to join our clients growing engineering team in a technically hands on lead engineer role. Our client is now moving to generation 2 of their industry leading wireless connected products and looking for someone to lead the improvements and upgrades of their embedded software using robust embedded firmware to meet product design objectives.

In this role you will take a lead role, reporting directly to the Engineering manager and you will be tasked with owning the firmware development process, the creation of firmware requirements specifications, implementing industry standards, co-ordinating design reviews and collaborating with the test and validation team.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Embedded C/C++ programming
• UML Modelling
• STM32 Chipset
• Keil IDE
• RF technologies - LoRa or similar

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• IOT based protocols - GSM-AT, MQTT, Azure IOT Cloud
• Technical lead experience
• Agile development - JIRA, GitHub etc

This role will best suit a senior embedded engineer who has strong industry experience in successfully delivering embedded solutions and take a lead role in technical and project decisions. You will be experienced with RF technologies, be able to code with C and C++ and have strong working knowledge of the STM32 chipset.
