Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Energy Consultant to my clients team in the UK. The successful candidate will lead projects centred around thermal decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and sustainability. This role requires developing detailed thermal decarbonisation plans, conducting comprehensive energy audits, designing robust metering strategies, creating and maintaining an energy monitoring platform, and analysing complex energy data. You will also be responsible for producing thorough reports that offer actionable insights to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the creation of customised thermal decarbonisation plans for various clients, ensuring they align with UK regulatory requirements and sustainability objectives.
Conduct comprehensive energy audits across diverse sectors, identifying opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements.
Design and implement advanced metering strategies to optimise energy consumption monitoring, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
Lead the development and maintenance of a sophisticated energy monitoring platform, integrating various data sources for real-time energy management.
Analyse energy consumption data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimisation, providing actionable insights to clients.
Write detailed, technically sound reports summarising findings from audits, decarbonisation plans, and energy data analysis, including recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet their objectives.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant UK legislation, standards, and best practices in energy efficiency and sustainability.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline is required, with a Master’s degree being preferable.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy consulting, focusing on energy audits, decarbonisation, and energy management.
Chartered Engineer (CEng), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or an equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy management principles.
Proficiency in energy analysis tools and software.
Experience in developing energy monitoring platforms and metering strategies.
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
