Job Title: Senior Engineer

Location: Buckinghamshire

We are working with a growing contractor specialising in groundworks, civil and structural engineering works currently seeking a permanent Senior Engineer to grow their HS2 team.

Summary of Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager with drafting and reviewing RAMS/TBS, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Support the achievement of safety targets and implement site systems for health, safety, and quality.
• Review short-term programmes and assist with resolving on-site issues.
• Familiarise with design drawings, raise TQs/RFIs, and manage Material Approval Records.
• Write and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and maintain quality assurance (QA) records.

Requirements:

• Experience/Knowledge:

  • Prior experience working as a Senior Engineer, preferably with reinforced concrete and rail or HS2 projects.
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and temporary works
  • Experience in BIM software and design tools like AutoCAD is desirable.

• Skills:

  • Strong communication and team management abilities.
  • Confidence in addressing health, safety, and quality matters.

• Qualifications:

  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card (White Academic minimum) and a full UK driving license.
