We specialize in delivering innovative and customized solutions to our clients, leveraging our deep market expertise and advanced analytics.POSITION OVERVIEW: Hartree Partners is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Equity Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the operational processes related to equity trading activities. This role requires a strong understanding of equity markets, exceptional analytical skills, keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Operations Management:Oversee and manage daily operational processes for equity trading, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Monitor trade settlements, reconciliations and corporate actions to ensure timely and accurate processing.Collaborate with front office, compliance, risk management, KYC and IT teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, custodians, and other counterparties.2.Trade Support:Provide comprehensive support to the equity trading desk, including trade capture, allocation, and confirmation.Promptly resolve trade discrepancies and settlement issues, working closely with counterparties and custodians.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rules, regulations, and industry best practices.3.Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks associated with equity trading activities.Develop and implement robust controls and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Conduct periodic reviews of operational processes and recommend improvements.4.Analytics and Reporting:Analyse trading data and operational metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, risk metrics, FX exposure and key performance indicators (KPIs).5.Project Management:Lead and participate in projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, including system upgrades, process automation, and regulatory changes.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.Proficiency in relevant software applications including Enfusion, NYFIX, Bloomberg OMS and trading/settlement systems.Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity operations, trade support, or a similar role within the financial services industry.Have a strong understanding and experience with corporate actions in both equities and bonds, including but not limited to issuance, M&A and restructuringIn-depth knowledge of equity markets, trading platforms, and settlement processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a proactive approach to problem solving.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to equity trading.
