We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to join an industry leading civil and engineering and ground-works contractor who are looking to recruit someone to work closely with their commercial director and an Estimating team of 5.

About the role of Senior Estimator

Working closely with their Commercial Director in their head office, this a Permanent role for a Senior Estimator who understands and has experience in the civil and engineering, ground-works and remediation sector, with good knowledge and experience regarding the costs associated with structures, ground works, remediation, drainage etc. You will be pricing work ranging from �5M-30M. This company has excellent staff retention and a superb client base. They act as both sub and principal contractor.

Responsibilities for Senior Estimator

A successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for:

• Reporting directly to the Commercial Director
• Deal with projects contractual, financial and technical risks
• Co-ordinate all aspects of the tender process, this can include preparation and presenting
• Delegating work to junior estimators as well has supporting them when necessary
• Keep up to date with industry developments and cost saving measures
• Responsible for reviewing and assessing contract information to ensure all tenders are produced effectively
• Attending Site visits and or site meetings
• Work with contracts management team to develop programs of works

Requirements for Senior Estimator

The candidate who will stand out as a Senior Estimator will be able to demonstrate:

• Degree, or NVQ equivalent
• Relevant experience in the Civil and Engineering sector as a Estimator / Senior Estimator
• Experience with a wide range of project values
• Take a lead role in managing bids
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT & CM models
• Experience with Candy Estimating Software or similar
• MCIOB/RICS
• A full UK driving license is required to carry site surveys
