Senior Estimator

White Label are working with a leading specialsit in the modular construction and structural steelwork industry in their search for a Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team.

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of projects within the modular, structural steelwork, and construction sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methodologies, cost control, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either modular construction or structural steelwork with the ability to deliver precise and timely estimates.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects in the modular, structural steelwork, and construction sectors.


• Analyse specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.


• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and negotiate the best prices.


• Prepare and present estimates and reports to senior management and clients.


• Participate in bid reviews and tender submissions


• Continuously seek improvements in estimating processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the modular, structural steelwork, or construction industry..


• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.


• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills


• Strong negotiation and communication skills


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.


• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
