Company Overview:
A leading construction company specialising in supply, assembly, and installation services is seeking an experienced Estimator to support its growth and profitability goals. The company provides innovative solutions with a focus on Load Bearing Light Steel Frame (LSF) systems and other construction services. We are looking for a motivated Estimator to ensure accurate, competitive pricing and foster long-term client relationships.
Role Overview:
The Estimator will play a key role in driving revenue growth by preparing precise estimates for Load Bearing LSF systems and additional services. This role involves maintaining strong client communication, assisting in developing new products, and overseeing junior estimators to ensure best practices in estimating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating: Lead the estimating process for Load Bearing LSF supply and installation, along with other services provided by the company.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding estimates, pricing, and tenders.
- Process Management: Log and track enquiries, prepare quotes using the company's QMS, and update pricing based on actual site costs.
- Project Preparation: Prepare take-offs, bills of quantities, and technical reviews to ensure accurate pricing.
- Supplier Coordination: Obtain quotes from third-party suppliers to ensure comprehensive and competitive pricing.
- Collaboration: Work with Quantity Surveyors (QS) to handle variations and review actual costs for future estimates.
- Sales Growth: Identify and generate revenue opportunities throughout the tender process and build strong relationships with clients and industry influencers.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quotes, client communications, and project outcomes, analysing reasons for won/lost tenders to improve future performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally with a focus on LSF systems or similar.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in technical reporting and experience with estimating software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
