The Opportunity

Due to continuous project trajectories, our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior External Reporting Manager to join a highly competent workforce of nuclear specialists to drive external reporting to Sizewell C's project lifecycle.
Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve a Net Zero future by 2050.

The role

As a Senior External Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the interface with shareholders and providing a bridge between the financing and delivery needs of the project.
Your duties and responsibilities will be 




  • Primary focus on designing and delivering external elements of Sizewell C’s Corporate Reporting Strategy and promoting a consistent ‘success narrative’ of the project with stakeholders.

  • Design and implementation of SZC’s external reporting strategy to meet the requirements of external stakeholders, including HMG.

  • Stakeholder management at multiple levels of the SZC organisation and externally.

  • Support a range of workstreams to support the achievement of Financial Close and success of the project post-FID, as a leader in the MDPO team.

  • Stand-up SZC’s resource, processes and systems to support external reporting in compliance with external stakeholder requirements.



You will have the following qualifications and experience 




  • Experienced in external corporate reporting, in particular, production of Annual Reports.

  • Investor relations experience and is excellent at building and maintaining relationships with Internal and External stakeholders.

  • Sense of teamwork and collaboration and strong written communication skills (presentations and reports)

  • Influencing, communication and negotiation skills with professional respect at all levels

  • Ability to adapt to changing market or regulatory conditions and have strong commercial and /or business experience.

  • Stakeholder management experience within a large/complex organization.
