Senior Finance Officer (PO1) - Permanent

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer

Type: Permanent Recruitment

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working with expectation of being in the office a couple of times per month

Key Responsibilities:

- Monthly CIS Returns and VAT claims

- Financial controls monitoring and reporting

- Support with annual Statement of Accounts

- Finance systems maintenance

- Government and statutory returns

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Liaising with internal and external audit

Requirements:

- Relevant accountancy experience

- Experience working in a finance team in local authority, public sector, or not-for-profit organization

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills

- Local government Corporate Accountancy experience desirable
