Job Description Senior Fire Safety Consultant (Building Safety Assurance) Ark Workplace Risk has deep know how in the end of construction phase and the built environment, and now considered a thought leader and Go To in Building Safety Assurance services and a major contributor to supporting the private sector and their building safety for in scope buildings, some of which are landmark buildings. About the Role We re looking for Associate Senior Fire Safety Consultants who are passionate about delivering the GOLD Standard in fire safety solutions in building safety, to contribute to our growing team of subject matter experts, supporting our clients with their duties under the Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Act 2021. In this role you will be undertaking various fire safety specialist related consulting including developing a building safety case report, building safety advisory in collaboration with other competent persons as well as undertake the development of Building Safety Management Systems, fire strategies, fire management plans as an example, to close gaps for clients. This is a hybrid role with little travel and is suited to a candidate who wishes to spend significant amounts of their time working from home. The ideal candidate will be passionate and demonstrate an ability to thrive working as part of a specialist team of like-minded multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary safety professionals. Opportunities to develop further skills and career advancement - as Ark grow so do you. Key Responsibilities Include; Developing building safety case reports. Building safety advisory, in collaboration with other competent persons. Undertake the development of Building Safety Management Systems Delivering the GOLD standard in fire safety solutions across a variety of property types ranging from tall buildings to high-risk buildings (Commercial, residential, retail and public buildings) Undertake other types of risk-based assignments within your competence level. Use standards appropriate to conform to the correct Fire Related building regulations and safety standards. Provide a practical and methodical approach to solving problems relating to fire safety of sites. Report writing using easy to use software solutions. Attend and keep up to date with your CPD personal development plans, updates and courses as directed by the company (Ark funds courses to increase your certification and knowledge). Experience and Qualifications Extensive experience of Fire Safety Management and Design within the built environment Fire risk assessment experience in high-rise residential buildings Experience of undertaking fire safety related work at residential buildings including undertaking often over 7 storeys Knowledge of the Construction Gateway process (desirable) Have the ability to recognise the importance of accurate and reliable documented information, including knowing how to deal with missing information and assess the suitability of information management systems Ability to deliver direction on high-level consulting projects and assignments as required An understanding of the environment in which a building operates including the legal framework, responsibilities and accountabilities, due diligence, evidence management and verification, safety management, and information management An understanding of the practical measures for fire prevention/ protection and structural safety and be comfortable working alongside structural safety professionals Desire and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions for our clients Qualifications And Memberships Member of a relevant institution, such as the IFE or IFSM Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety Diploma (or equivalent) such as CFPA-E Dip, etc. Essential Skills Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and report writing ability Capability to multi-task and manage multiple projects Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions for our clients Strong interpersonal skills and report writing ability as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations Job Specifics This is a home-based role, with project specific site attendance requirements on occasion #J-18808-Ljbffr
