AWS Graviton is a family of processors designed by AWS to deliver the best price performance for cloud workloads running in Amazon EC2, AWS managed compute, and AWS managed services. AWS Graviton-based instances support a wide range of general purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized and accelerated computing workloads, and is a key foundation for GenAI applications. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind-share and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record of customer obsession and delivering results. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.Many AWS services, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, and AWS Fargate, also support Graviton-based instances for a fully managed experience with significant price performance benefits. AWS Graviton provides up to 40% better price performance over comparable x86-based instances. To help our customers reduce their carbon footprint, AWS Graviton uses up to 60% less energy for the same performance than comparable EC2 instances.You will work with some of the biggest and most prestigious businesses in the UK and Ireland, diving deep into their requirements, explaining our value and capabilities, in order to drive new business. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background, enabling them to engage accounts at a range of levels, including the CXO level. Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilities* Design Customer Solutions, ­Collaborate with the wider AWS teams to help customers and partners architect solutions that leverage AWS Graviton AWS Services* Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Professional Services, and Partners to define an Flex compute engagement strategy for AWS operational territories and key accounts.* Thought Leadership – Provide thought leadership on solutions that benefit customers through the use of AWS Services. This takes the form of contribution to external publications such as the AWS Compute Blog, whitepapers and reference architectures, as well as internal training of Solutions Architects, Professional Services Consultants, Technical Account Managers, and AWS Trainers* Serve as a key member of the business development and accounting management team in helping to ensure customer success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.* Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies.* Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide AWS solution architect community* Understand AWS market segments, and industry verticals.* Understand and exploit the use of internal business support systems.About the teamAbout AWSDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. Basic qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clientsPreferred qualification - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking- Experience working with end user or developer communitiesAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
