Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with Julian House, the charity dedicated helping thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment and away from domestic abuse. We are looking for a fundraiser with experience in individual giving to work on the recruitment and retention of new donors from across the South West and establish a cohesive supporter journey to optimise the lifetime value of their gifts.

Role: Senior Fundraiser - Individual Giving

Reports to: Senior Fundraising Manager

Location: Anywhere in the South West (although travel will be required to office hubs in Bath and Exeter, and across the region)

Terms: Full time, permanent

Salary: £29,000 plus generous benefits

Julian House has developed a loyal and generous supporter base over the past 35 years, which has helped the charity get where it is today. Now, as they move into their next stage of growth, with an ambition to reach 10,000 vulnerable and at-risk people by 2026, they want to shift gear on their fundraising to drive exponential growth. As such they are looking for someone who can develop their approach to individual giving and increase the lifetime value of their supporters' donations.

You will be part of a small fundraising team where each member is given autonomy to innovate in their area and establish ambitious strategies for growth. Your experience of recruiting and stewarding individuals to your charity's cause will enable you to craft the full supporter journey from someone's first gift, through to becoming a regular giver and, ultimately, leaving a legacy to Julian House. You will enjoy delving into donor data as much as designing inspiring campaigns, combining the two to deliver targeted, high-impact activity which generates income for the charity.

Skills and Experience needed:

Experience of leading fundraising activity relating to individual giving, regular giving and / or legacies.
Experience of working across a wide portfolio of work, managing your time effectively.
Experience of using CRM systems to interpret donor data and making decisions based onyour analysis.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent your organisation to a range of stakeholders and create high-quality written content for fundraising.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.Julian House is a really wonderful place to work and aside from a very inclusive working culture where staff feedback is valued and encouraged, the charity also offer salary increases every year for the first 3 years, wellbeing related support and advice, 27 days annual leave, including an extra day off for your birthday, increasing up to 30 days after 4 years of continuous employment and a generous and competitive pension scheme.
