Senior Highways Technician

An international multi-disciplinary are looking for a Senior Technician to join their Highways and Infrastructure team in London and be responsible for the detailed design of Enabling Works, Junction improvements, Roundabouts and much more using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the most iconic projects in London. Previous projects include Royal Albert Hall, Covent Garden Market and queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. You will be joining as a Senior Technician and be responsible for the leadership of two technicians and you will be working with a team of 6 engineers to produce the detailed highway designs.

Senior Highway Technician Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing highway design solutions for our clients in the private and public sectors
• Developing excellent and effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, external providers and other agencies
• Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks to budget and programme
• Preparing reports, drawings, schedules, cost estimates and other documents; and
• Assisting senior members with monthly programme and financial reporting.

Senior Highway Technician Requirements

• Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data
• Confident written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload
• Approachable and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and clients
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
