We are proud to be partnering with a charity based in North West London, who are looking to appoint a Senior HR Advisor on a 12-month FTC.This will be a full-time position based principally in North West London as well as involving travel to other sites (Essex, Middlesex, Hertfordshire).This role includes hybrid working (2 days home working) and a salary of £39,000 to £42,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will have effective knowledge of employment legislation and its applicationDuties will include (but are not limited to): Establishing positive working relationships with HR colleagues in the wider team and demonstrating an understanding of the organisation’s vision and valuesProviding advice and support to managers on all aspects of employee relations including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues and be responsible for efficient outcomes to close ER cases within a specified time frame Supporting employees and managers on terms and conditions of service, employment policies and proceduresDesigning templates and bespoke letters for managers to use when dealing with conflicts Undertaking absence management and exit leaving projects Offering any advice on any proposed re-organisation structures, helping deliver and mitigating riskTaking notes at meetings including investigations, hearings and appealExperience required:Working within a multi-site, unionised environmentExperience of managing a varied complex caseload including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievances, workforce investigations, appeals and casesSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Up-to-date knowledge and application of employment lawsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesRewards and Benefits:A huge range of discounts at major retailers and supermarkets24/7 access to a GP online or on the phoneAccess to an Employee Assistance ProgrammeWell-being hub4% employer pension contributionCareer development opportunities and access to organisation’s online learning platformWorking hours:36.42 hours a week (Apr - Oct, Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm & Oct - Mar, Monday - Thursday 9am - 5.30pm, Friday 2pm finish)Hybrid working (2 days work from home)James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
