Role: Senior ICA Engineer
Salary/Rate: £ market rates (inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days p/w + site travel
Contract Duration: 6-12 months

A chartered Senior ICA Engineer is required by a consultancy working with some of the biggest government, infrastructure, defence, and security projects in the UK.

This Senior ICA Engineer role is hybrid based between working up to 3 days per week in a local office (multiple available throughout the UK) and the remainder of the week working remotely or travelling to UK sites as required. Site travel will be expensed.

The Senior ICA Engineer role will be a 6-12-month contract, paying market rates inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

• Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer + 5yrs minimum
• Proven experience in delivering multidisciplinary design projects.
• Extensive knowledge of ICA design, including instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA systems, motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&IDs, ATEX installation practices, functional safety, and the development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules, and system requirements in process/industrial environments.
• Proficiency in using appropriate digital analysis tools, adhering to applicable standards, working practices, and national guidelines.
• Lead a team to perform technical design work in accordance with relevant standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Develop briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
• Efficiently manage time and budgets to achieve key project milestones and program goals.
• Collaborate with teams in the UK and internationally to provide integrated design solutions.
• Maintain adherence to quality assurance standards in all design activities.
