The company has achieved significant accolades including being one of the UK’s top 100 SMEs, Best Designer of Bulk Materials Handling, and also, the SHAPA Exporter of the Year (twice).The company is looking to recruit a Senior Area Sales Manager to join their UK field based sales team. This is an ideal opportunity for a sales person experienced in the bulk materials handling sector to join a very experienced team.This role would specifically work in the industrial sector (non-agricultural). The role will cover the whole of the UK so some overnight stays away from home each week are likely.Key SkillsThe ideal candidate should be: Knowledgeable in bulk materials handling/drying/storage and able to lead the customer in their choice of machinery. Accustomed and proficient at generating own appointments.Proven track record of successful B2B field sales experience.Comfortable managing a large UK based territory.Self motivated, tenacious and hard working.An excellent communicator with outstanding people skills.Must be a deal closer.Key responsibilities:Lead GenerationActively develop leads through their existing connections whilst also developing new potential customers.Customer AdvocateAct as the customer advocate and work with the office-based sales team to ensure the accurate production of drawings and quotes.Work with the customer to ensure the drawings and quotes are fit for purpose (not over or under specified).Sales Skilfully manage any customer objections to secure the work.Proactively manage multiple sales cycles to bring them to a successful and timely conclusion.Meet or exceed the sales targets set by the Sales Director.You will carry out your own site surveys, specifying machinery, layout design and pass this to the office for CAD drawings and quoting. ReportingMaintain the company CRM for their area.Proactively participate in internal sales meetingsTrainingTraining will be given however it is anticipated the successful candidate will come with extensive experience.Salary range: Competitive basic plus commission & company car Based in the UK. The successful applicant will be based from home and will be expected to travel for business meetings ~ 3 days a week which may include overnight stays away from home most weeks.
