Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Technologist - Outside IR35

Harvey Nash is working with a well known public sector organisation who are looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Technologist to join their team on an initial 10 month contract outside IR35.

Our Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Technologist will be a key member of our Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team operating as a technical ambassador, guardian of our IT standards, and will be a subject matter expert for our infrastructure, platforms, technologies and the services that we deliver. They will provide senior level technical support, guidance and mentoring for our growing team of BAU ICOPs Engineers.

We are looking for a senior level Technologist to come in and help with the growth and guidance of their current technical team as well as someone who can be hands on.

We are looking for someone with experience with:

• SME level technical knowledge and skills based on practical experience, of at least 15 years of which 7 should be at a senior technical level preferably within the following technology fields and platforms:Compute and storage technologies such as HPE, Dell, Oracle etc
• Microsoft Windows technologies
• Microsoft 365 products
• Microsoft Azure technologies
• Vmware virtualisation technologies
• Cloud technologies (e.g. SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.)
• Backup systems and processes
• DR & Resilience planning, design, implementation & execution
• Vulnerability management technologies
• Observability & monitoring tools and platforms

• Automation and scripting
