Senior Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared / Active Directory)Methods are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work on an initial 6 month contract with a fantastic client of ours. The role will be completed with a hybrid way of working, with the successful candidate needing to be on site in the Milton Keynes office location 1-2 days per week. The role has been confirmed to fall outside of IR35.This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. Role Responsibilities:• Support various project deliveries, be a subject matter expert within the Active Directory Technical space• Carry out routine configuration, installation and set up of Active Directory services, including PKI, DNS and Group Policies• Build and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions using architect’s drawings, diagrams and/or data flows;• Identify and take ownership of technical problems and incidents; manage, coordinate and prioritise tasks to resolve technical incidents as quickly as possible;• Identify and investigate repeat issues and faults, initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends, consulting specialists where required; determine the appropriate remedy and preventative measures; assist with their implementation; • Develop and document change requests to improve control / reduce risk to security performance and availability; analyse and assess impact of change requests;• Create Technical and Functional Documentation and ensure that is reviewed and maintained accurately in line with current designs. Scope - • Provide technical advice and influence other teams on the best technical solutions and process improvements;• Resolve problems when there is no available precedent; • Seek ways to enhance internal processes to improve technical servicesEssential Skills:• Agile & ITIL Foundation level / relevant experience;• Microsoft role-based certification - Expert and relevant product certifications –• Active Directory Management, PKI, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP• MS Exchange • Windows OS• Practitioner level knowledge of hardware, software and systems being supported• PS Scripting• RBACS• Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in an enterprise environment, and of working within a secure environment, e.g. MOD, Cabinet Office• Experience in a high-pressured, fast-paced team• Agile & ITIL Foundation level / relevant experience;• Programming and build; PS, Ansible• Systems Operations;• Automation• Problem-solving; • Analyse, interrogate and evaluate data;• Draft/author professional/technical documents.• Interpret professional/technical documents.• Problem management.• Incident management.• Change and release management. • DDaT Role: Senior Engineer – Infrastructure
