Title: Senior Insight Analyst

Rate: up to £500 per day

Location: Hybrid -One day a week working from Sunley House, Papworth, Cambridgeshire

Type: Temporary - 6 months

Opus People Solutions are working with Cambridgeshire County Council to recruit for two Senior Insite Analysts who are experienced in working with Education data, specifically expertise in SEND services, and the Power Bi reporting tool. Key areas of work will be:

• To work with existing Policy & Insight team analyst resource to develop & deploy a SEND focussed Power Bi reporting infrastructure, using data extracted from our new Impulse Nexus case management system and other key line of business systems as appropriate to meet statutory (Department for Education, Ofsted) and local reporting requirements
• To deliver a robust statutory return dataset compliant with the latest SEN2 statutory guidance
• To develop a robust monitoring data pack that supports ongoing monitoring of activity impacting on the Council's Safety Valve agreement
• To work closely with Education service leads to develop and implement a robust SEND performance management approach, imbedding the use of key financial data and management information to support service planning and operational decision-making.

As a Senior Insight Analyst (Intelligence) you will lead a work area and team of analysts to provide, timely and accurate analysis, insight, reports, dashboards, scorecards, and benchmarking information. You will also be accountable for the delivery of key statutory and regulatory data returns. You will support and lead on projects as required to make sense of data, produce high quality analysis and quality assure others' work, and think strategically about how the Council can use it.

A large part of the role involves designing and overseeing the extraction and combining of large operational datasets, transforming the data to ensure it is maintained in an accessible format which allows oversight of day-to-day service management, and develop visualisations to enable analysis. Therefore, the post holder needs to have a proven technical knowledge and intellectual curiosity to explore complex datasets to demonstrate a solution-focused approach to problem solving in real time.
