Senior IT Architect

MCS Group is proud to be seeking a Senior IT Architect for one of NI top 15 companies as they continue their ambitious future proofing of their entire IT estate. You will be joining a team of IT experts with one common goal, to provide their organisation with a 2nd to none platform across a broad array of bespoke and out to the box applications to maintain their market leading position with their industry. The role - Research, analyse, design, propose and deliver solutions that support the business and IT strategies across infrastructure, applications, business processes and data. You will lead the effort to ensure that common architecture decisions are implemented consistently in one or more enterprise architecture domains providing integrated systems analysis and recommend the appropriate technologies that will be fit for purpose across a bread array of areas and departments within the organisation. Design and implement from small to highly complex computer systems and components and to be the senior point of escalation for those issues that arise within such platforms Of course this all has to be backed up with detailed design documentation across all the products in use both for the enterprise development and to cover the architecture artefacts in the technical areas within the business and you will be tasked with staying up to date with emerging technologies and how these could be best leveraged to benefit the business moving forward. Required to be successful BSC in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject(s) or equivalent work experience. Typically 7+ years of experience across multiple IT areas and 2-3 years of relevant solution architecture or enterprise architecture experience. What would give you and edge over other applicants Experience working within highly regulated environments TOGAF or Zachman Certified or equivalent recognised enterprise architecture certification. Good knowledge of Microsoft Server Platforms ), Active Directory, MS, Exchange, LAN/WAN Administration, MS-Access and MS SQL-Server. Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMWare / Citrix ZenApp). Knowledge of backup technologies (Symantec BackupExec / Veeam). Good Knowledge of CRM, SCM, ERP, MES or LIMS systems. Knowledge of Process Modelling Frameworks (APQC) and Tools (Visio) Experience in Software development (.NET) What you'll get out of this role: Salary up to £90,000 (DOE) Fantastic holidays and benefits package!
