We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Landscape Architect to work with our client, a global engineering business. Ideally, you will be a Chartered Landscape Architect but if not, you will need to have the relevant experience in a similar position. There is no design involved so our client will consider someone who may have worked as a contract/administrative manager.
This is a minimum 12-month contract (inside IR35) and it requires someone in the office 2-3 days per week to start with before reducing down to 1 day per week once you are up to speed.
Principal responsibilities:
- Able to make decisions and advise the client quickly on technical queries
- Understand Local Authority requirements
- SUDS for highways and green spaces
- Support the clients�design teams and operational delivery teams on hard landscaping
- Business development to capture�funding for new schemes
- All engagement is internal
- Act as the landscape expert in that office
- Managing the contractors
Key skills/experience required:
- Experienced with programme and cost control
- A public sector background with parks maintenance experience is desired
- You'll need to have a basic understanding of CAD & landscape design and legislation.
