SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL Part-Time Position (3-4 Days a Week) Outlined Salary is FTE. THE COMPANY As a busy start-up with a small team, our client needs someone ready to hit the ground running and dive into media legal work, supporting the leads in their media and content teams. THE ROLE We are seeking a talented mid to senior level media lawyer with an interest in working in the sports sector to join our team part-time for our first exciting racing season. Roles and responsibilities : Drafting and negotiating sports media rights agreements to optimize revenue and secure favourable terms Negotiating distribution deals to maximize global reach with broadcasters and content distributors Providing strategic guidance on commercial, legal, and regulatory issues related to sports broadcast and media rights, ensuring compliance Supporting sports production matters, including agreements with production agencies, broadcast partners, talent releases, and location agreements Negotiating media rights deals with OTT providers and fast channels to expand the media distribution network THE PERSON : Media / commercial law experience, particularly in the licensing of live sports media rights. Understanding of the sports broadcast, content licensing, music, and related regulatory landscape. At least 6 years PQE.
