International Energy Company Seeks High-Calibre Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading international oil and gas company, is seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal group. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive legal support and strategic advice across various business areas within their UK operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Uphold the company's legal interests by identifying rights and obligations.
Stay abreast of evolving legislation and regulations, proactively mitigating legal risks.
Collaborate with external regulators and legal advisors.
Deliver expert legal counsel across all aspects of the UK business, with a focus on the offshore sector (UKCS experience is essential).
Draft and negotiate agreements for construction, transportation, processing, and product offtake.
Advise on regulatory compliance concerning production licenses, NSTA, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, and HSE regulations.
Participate in joint venture negotiations, consortium formations, and JOA drafting.
Support UKCS business development initiatives, including confidentiality agreements and bidding processes.
Draft and negotiate agreements for sales, exchanges, farm-ins/farm-outs, and operation management.
Collaborate with Supply Chain on procurement for production operations.
Support UK oil and gas marketing arrangements.The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and drafting complex commercial agreements.
Exposure to UK offshore oil and gas regulations and experience working with relevant regulators
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.We Offer:
