Senior Logistics Manager - Transport

Loom Talent are supporting with the recruitment of a Senior Logistics Manager - Transport for a 4PL operation based in Hatfield.

Our client provides innovative solutions to the Transport sector across the UK. Using the latest technology and through an extensive network of Transport partners they provide an excellent service to their customers.

In the role of Haulier manager you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of performance from a large team of outsourced shippers and carriers, while maintaining a positive relationship. This will require you to lead a large team of coordinators and planners through the day activities of the department.

• Day to Day Leadership of the live operations team
• Profitability and Performance of the team
• Delivering and exceeding service levels for both Shippers and Carriers
• Accuracy and timeliness of Carrier Self Billing programme
• Work with the onboarding team to ensure new shippers and carriers are added seamlessly
• Ensure Gross Profit is generated and protected by through transacting accurately on the platform

To be successful with your application for Senior Logistics Manager - Transport you must be able to demonstrate experience managing an outsourced transport operation, either through a 4PL, LLP or Freight model.

• Five Years minimum operational experience in Road Freight in the UK / Ireland
• Previous Management / Leadership experience
• Excellent knowledge of the UK & Ireland Geography
• A motivator who encourages the team to exceed targets
• Tenacious and able to thrive on positive pressure, able to find solutions to problems
• Strong networking and collaborative skills.
