Senior Machine Learning EngineerEuropean Recruitment are working closely with an exciting AI Safety start-up, based in London, who are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team.In this role you will join a team committed to engineering safe, beneficial AI systems that will have a massive positive impact on the future of humanity. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll spearhead the scaling of their fine-tuning and inference frameworks for large language models.Responsibilities as Senior Machine Learning Engineer:Build an automated fine-tuning framework that can scale to the next order of magnitude of training runsExplore novel synthetic data generation techniques in close collaboration with research teams to ensure high-quality and diverse data at scale.Engineer robust, high-performance inference platforms to ensure the products' reliability, throughput and speed at scale.Collaborate in defining and steering the company's evolving inference and training stack working with researchers, founders and advisors to develop the most powerful evaluation models.Found and grow the engineering organisation, setting a high bar of excellence as a core member of the team.Requirements:Have experience operating orchestration systems such as SLURM, Ray, or similar.Experience in creating and managing multi-instance clusters for data and model parallel training across GPUs/TPUs, preferably using PyTorch and Kubernetes.Proficiency in efficient serving of large machine learning models at scale, including quantisation and distributed computing.Understanding around the latest AI research and a familiarity of the knowledge of how these systems can be efficiently implemented.Desirable Experience:Experience at a leading machine learning company (Mistral, Anthropic, X.ai, HuggingFace, Neuralink, OpenAI, etc.)Interested in and thoughtful about of the impacts of AI technology.If this role is of any interest please apply directly on LinkedIn or send a copy of your CV to ##### applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
