Senior Management Accountant - Middlewich - Permanent Role

Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 PA

Silver Arrow requires a senior management accountant to work for a prestigious & niche transport company based in Middlewich.

Your Role:

• Oversee and manage the company's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Assist in ensuring control and compliance of all accounting and finance procedures within the business.
• Oversee the sales invoicing process to ensure billing is done accurately and in a timely manner.
• Preparation and completion of group VAT returns and other ad-hoc HMRC returns.
• Ensure all payment runs are correctly prepared and bank ID facilities are correctly administered.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Liaise with the auditors to ensure an efficient and effective audit process.

What we need from you:

• Proven experience in producing monthly management accounts and presenting to senior management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is preferred.
• Understanding of reporting tools and their importance in providing real time data to the wider business
