The Role
As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations across multiple locations within the region. You will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure robust financial control, and support decision-making processes to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to regional management teams to drive business performance.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and variances, and proposing corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the region, working closely with operational teams to ensure realistic and achievable targets.
- Ensure effective financial controls are in place and adhered to, conducting regular reviews and audits as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the succession planning process, preparing to transition into a senior leadership role within the next 18 months.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within a regional or multi-site environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience in team management and development is highly desirable.
