CMA are delighted to be exclusively supporting an impressively growing, events management Company in the recruitment of a ‘business partnering’ led Senior Management Accountant.  Our client is a London based business with Finance located in picturesque offices on the outskirts of Southampton/Winchester. 
Our client has more than quadrupled their turnover over the last couple of years with the aim of becoming ‘The agency of choice’ & ‘The best place to work’ in the industry.  It’s a fantastic time to join them as they look to increase their market share with some big contract wins and cement their award-winning reputation within the communication and live events industry. 
The role will business partner with divisional heads across the company.  You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts, as well as taking ownership of all client projects across the organisation.

What will the Senior Management Accountant role involve?


  • Monthly project accounting process, working in conjunction with the finance assistant.
  • Own all project WIP – running the weekly WIP sessions with each Division in the business.
  • Business Partner with non-finance department heads to present and track project performance.
  • Project/Operational cash flow forecasting & variances.
  • Ownership of project balance sheet – COS accruals & Deferred/Accrued income.
  • Variance analysis for budgets & forecasts.
  • Data Analysis on company divisions & clients.
  • Reconciliation of accounting software to Procim (our project management software) – ensuring the accuracy of the integration between software’s.
  • Use our Project Management System & CRM System to gather & analyse all financial data, with the aim to be a superuser for the system.
  • Analysing financial data and providing reports to FD to enhance decision making.
  • Onboarding new employees in finance processes.
  • Ensuring all transactions are adhering to financial processes and policies.
  • Suggesting improvements to all financial processes to increase efficiency for the business.
  • Manage the finance assistant & oversee all the financial transactions.
  • Supporting the Finance Director with ad hoc finance matters.

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Management Accountant vacancy:


  • ACCA/CIMA Ideally qualified but would consider finalist.
  •  Previous experience in management accounts preparation.
  •  Experience in a project-based business.
  •  Strong Excel skills.
  •  Experience using multiple systems with large amounts of data.
