Ashton Recruitment require a Senior Management Accountant for our client based in Belfast. Position: Senior Management Accountant Location: Belfast - Hybrid Duration: Permanent Rate of Pay: up to £52,000 Duties include (but not limited to): Lead and manage a team of management accountants, providing guidance, support, and motivation. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss priorities, address challenges, and provide updates. Act as the first line reviewer for the work produced by the management accounting team; such as monthly management accounts, budget builds, costing schedules up to pre-determined values Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards in all financial reports and analyses. Provide constructive feedback to team members to facilitate their professional development. Oversee the timely completion of all management accounting tasks and projects, such as pack to Trustees Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and meet tight deadlines. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules. Identify training needs within the team and develop a comprehensive training plan. Provide ongoing training to team members on technical skills, industry trends, and best practices. Facilitate cross-training initiatives to enhance team members' versatility. Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices in management accounting and stay abreast of industry trends. Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks. Serve as the main point of contact between the management accounting team and the Head of Finance. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and IT, to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Essential Criteria: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Qualified Accountant and current member of one of the following recognised CCAB bodies: Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA); Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (CIPFA). Minimum 3 years proven experience in management accounting, with a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
