Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Consumables We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with consumables design experience to play a crucial role in advancing our mission. You’ll take on a key role in creating robust, manufacturable detailed designs for the consumables that are a critical part of our robotic manufacturing system. As a senior designer you'll be given autonomy and responsibility to design critical modules, leveraging your expertise to swiftly guide us towards stable and reliable solutions. RequirementsA strong background in Engineering, gained either by degree or vocational route. Proven, hands-on experience developing and delivering products into manufacture. Able to construct tolerance analyses and use appropriate analytical techniques to aid your design work. Highly skilled and fast in the use of 3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks), including drafting to GD&T standards and communication of manufacturing requirements. Proven track record taking injection-moulded components and assemblies from concept to production including managing suppliers through tooling and moulding stages. Good knowledge of material properties, joining methods, forming methods. Able to combine the skills above in a rigorous way to execute efficient transfer to manufacture/assembly. Experience working within the requirements set by pharma or medical products would be strongly beneficial.
