Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An industry leading Automation Manufacturer is now seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. They offer bespoke solutions to a range of industries on a global scale, making this a versatile role mixing new product introduction with scope changes of existing equipment.
You will be responsible for designing and developing new products, as well as maintaining existing products. You will join an existing team of Design Engineers and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to be able to create industry leading solutions in a highly competitive market.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer duties will include:
Being the go-to for technical resource in the business.
Managing new product developments to agreed timescales and budgets.
Prototype manufacture and testing.
Devising appropriate test regimes.
Providing support to other Designers in the team.
Completion of progress reports.
Creating and maintaining product documentation.
Standard drawings control.
To be successful in the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, the ideal candidate will offer the following skills:
Technically competent Mechanical Engineer focused on design, development and project management.
Experience in developing and maintaining drawings of engineering products.
Experience of a 3D CAD package, ideally AutoCAD or Solidworks.
